About me
Born in Germany in 1992, with an early deep attachment to art and painting, I studied Art/Painting at the Academy of Arts in Rijeka, Croatia. Various subjects, such as drawing, painting and ceramics, draw my attention.
My studio is located in a green oasis near the Croatian coast.
As early as in my childhood art has had a huge impact on my life. I found inspiration in the paintings of Franz Marc. A tremendous love for the colors, the expressions, the shapes and the effects grew inside of me.
Blue horses brought the expressionist Franz Marc to fame. Yellow and red deer, cows and cats are part of the colorful repertoire of this painter from Munich, who these highly symbolic animals saw as metaphors of life itself. He was an icon of the Avantgarde. Like his artistic idols Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin and Henri Matisse he used bright colors and rhythmical shapes in his famous paintings.
Art is an expression of yourself. Paintings are especially suitable for expressing emotions. The expression of emotions can be seen as a fundamental task when it comes to art. Intuition is the very beginning of an artistic process. It is a constant focus on the inside, such as emotions, thoughts and dreams, and the outside, such as environment, adventure and experience. After some time I gain awareness on the subject that needs to be expressed. Sometimes it is my very personal subject, sometimes a collective theme. I would like to name it abstract, emotional painting. It is a symphony of emotions from connection, separation and introspectiveness.
In my paintings I choose shapes and figures as well as abstract motives. Mostly my expression is abstract, oriented on diverse painting techniques and surprising effects. My paintings are almost only in oil, the drawings charcoal or pencil.
By choosing to abstract the motive, the colors and effects build the main impression of the painting. The inspiration for my paintings I draw from shapes, colors, structures and nature itself. The idea is to create the painting through manipulating the character of each color and to lay focus on the compositions of these various aspects.
I find a special joy in giving you, as the observer of these compositions, the possibility to lay your very own, personal emotion and experience into the painting and to give you the freedom to form a bond with the painting through your own fantasy.
I wish you and everybody interested in my art a joyful and exciting journey!
